지역 간 통행에 따른 생활권 설정에 관한 연구－ 부산・울산・경남지역을 중심으로 －

Abstract

Today, Korea is faced with some problems such as decrease of population in local cities and urbandecay, because of continuous overpopulation in the Metropolitan area as well as decline of population andaging phenomena. Many local cities lose their competitive power and undergo atrophy of local economyand weakening of self-sufficient city's function. Thus, the local policy to promote self-support andco-prosperity through an effective connection between city and locality is required, and the regionalwelfare settlement area policy in the preset Korea can be seen as a plan for local connection developmentacross city, county and district, according to decrease of population in local city and simultaneous decayof rural community. However, the establishment of regional welfare settlement area should not be limitedto simple connection of administrative units or delimitation by geographic administrative boundary, andthe settlement areas are needed to be decided by considering life patterns such as going to work, schoolattendance, shopping and leisure of actual residents. Thus, this study attempts to perform the delimitationand connection between regions according to travel outflow and influence by each purpose, by analyzingthe travel by inter-regional purposes of Metropolitan cities, towns and counties in Busan, Ulsan andGyeongnam which are included in southeast part of Korea. Hence, it aims to be provided as basic data forthe establishment of regional settlement areas as well as reference for local development policy.
