본연구는노화에대한기대, 노화불안, 노인차별의관계를확인하고, 노화에 대한기대와노인차별과의관계에서 노화불안의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구대상자는 경기도 소재 Y 대학교에 재학 중인대학생103명이었다. 온라인으로 설문을 실시하고, 수집한 자료들은SPSS 22와 SPSS Macro Model 4를 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과같다. 첫째, 노화에 대한 기대는 노화불안, 노인차별과 유의한 부적관계가나타났고, 노화불안은 노인차별과 유의한정적관계가나타났다. 둘째, 노화에 대한기대와노인차별의 관계에서노화불안의부분매개효과가유의하게나타났다. 즉, 노화에대한기대는직접적으로노인차별에 영향을 미치기도 하지만, 노화불안의 영향을 통해 간접적으로 노인차별에 영향을 미쳤다. 이 같은연구결과를바탕으로노인차별의예방및감소를위한개입및시사점에대해논의하고, 연구의제한점및후속연구를위한제언을제시하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between aging expectations, aging anxiety and ageism, and to test the mediating effect of aging anxiety on the relationship between aging expectations and ageism. The study participants consisted of 103 university students enrolled at Y University in Gyeonggi-do. An online survey was conducted, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 22 and SPSS Macro Model 4. The results of this study are as follows. First, expectations about aging showed a significant negative relationship with both aging anxiety and ageism, while aging anxiety exhibited a significant positive relationship with ageism. Second, aging anxiety was found to have a partial mediating effect on the relationship between expectations about aging and ageism. In other words, expectations about aging directly influenced ageism but also had an indirect effect through aging anxiety. Based on these findings, the study discusses interventions and implications for preventing and reducing ageism. Additionally, the study's limitations and suggestions for future research are presented.
