Abstract

A Review of Korean Christian Philosophy in the Perid of Korea This paper aims to research for the identity of Korean Christian Philosophy in the period of Korea under Japanese Rule. The period was also in accord with inflow of modern western culture and thought So. the Korean intelligence of that time were under two important influence. One was Japanese occupation and the other was modern western culture. At that time, for the Korean intelligence, Japanese occupation was a real problem to solve and modern western culture was a kind of real method to use. Modern western philosophy had a special meaning because the philosophy gave new sights to understand the reality and world itself. Because of those all condition, we could expect special features of Korean Philosophy which reflected major subject for the intelligence in those days. Under the main purpose, the paper focuss on Christian intelligence in those days. They could be considered representatives who had influence of modern western thought(philosophy and theology) and culture, and tried to apply it to their own reality in many way. This paper is only to research a representative person of Korean reformed Christian leaders and Korean presbyterian theologist in the period, Park Hyung Nong .
