이슬람의 '성경변질론' 비판 - 꾸란의 성경에 대한 긍정 표현을 중심으로 -

본 연구는 이슬람의 성경변질론에 대한 기본적인 이해의 틀을 제공하고 그 핵심적 변증을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 이슬람의 경전인 꾸란을 통해 이슬람이 제기하는 이 성경변질론의 무효성을 밝히고자 한다. 성경변질론을 개관한 후에 성경에 관한 꾸란의 언급을 살펴보면서 그 핵심을 간추려 보고, 성경변질론에 대한 결론을 제시하고자 한다. 무슬림이라면 '하나님의 거룩한 책들'인 성경에 대한 신앙을 표방해야 한다. 그런데 실제에 있어서 무슬림들은 '성경'은 '변질'되어 더 이상 하나님의 말씀이 아니라 여긴다. 이를 '성경변질론'이라 하며 이슬람에서는 '타흐리프'(tahrif) 교리라고 부른다. 역사적으로 성경이 변질되었다는 주장은 11세기에 이르러 이븐 하즘(Ibn Hazm)에 의해 처음으로 제기되었다. 이슬람이 발흥한지 무려 4세기가 지나도록 성경이 변질되었다는 주장이 제기되지 않았지만, 성경과 꾸란 사이의 불일치를 발견한 후 이슬람은 역사적 사실(史實)과는 별도로 성경을 '대체'(replace)하는 '계시'로서의 '꾸란'을 강조하기 위해 성경의 '무효성'을 제기하기 시작하였다. 하지만 정작 이슬람의 모든 교리의 근간인 꾸란에서는 성경변질론에 대한 근거를 찾을 수가 없다. 성경에 관한 꾸란의 언급을 종합해 볼 때 오히려 꾸란은 성경의 신적기원을 인정하고 그것이 진리의 말씀임을 확증한다. 따라서 이슬람법과 교리의 원천인 꾸란은 '기독교의 성경이 변질되었다'라는 이슬람의 '성경변질론'을 무효로 한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide a basic frame of the Islamic Tahrif doctrine (the Islamic doctrine of Distortion of the Bible) and present Christian demonstration about it. In order to do it the writer tries to prove that the doctrine is void according to the Islamic holy book, the Quran. The writer would give a conspectus of the Tahrif doctrine, inquire into the statements of Quran about the Bible, condense the core, and suggest its consequence. Muslims must profess the belief in the Bible, 'the Holy book of God'. But in truth they insist that 'the Bible' is distorted, and accordingly it is no more the Word of God. This is 'the Islamic doctrine of Distortion of the Bible' and it is called 'Tahrif' doctrine in Islam. Historically this doctrine was suggested first by Ibn Hazm in the 11th century. It had not been suggested for 4 centuries since Islam appeared as a religion, but Islam began to raise 'invalidity of the Bible' in order to emphasize Quran as 'God's revelation' to replace the Bible nullifying the historical truth after it had discovered the discord between the Bible and the Quran. However, no proof of the Islamic doctrine of distortion of the Bible has not been found in the Quran, the keynote of every doctrine of Islam. Rather by mentioning the Bible, the Quran approves the divine origin of the Bible and confirms that it is the Word of the truth. Therefore the Quran, the source of Islamic law and doctrine, nullifies the Islamic 'Tahrif doctrine'.
