歐陽修 哀悼 詩文 小考 - 哀悼詩와 祭文을 중심으로

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the poetry and prose expression of the mourning literary works of Ou Yang Xiu, based on ai dao shi(哀悼詩) and ji wen(祭文), representing Chinese mourning literature. The writing method concerning ai dao shi and ji wen can be categorized in three phases. The first phase is to express difficult situation(窮) on purpose as an eternal symbol. He was trying the literary theory of ‘qiong er hou gong(窮而後工)’ in his works, which means overcoming difficult situation. The second phase is to follow Confucian ideology in order to find the existence value of the deceased. That was implicit in pursuit of Confucian ideology(儒家). The third phase is to reconstruct the daily life of the past, regardless of traditional literary style, as a premise to express sorrow. In conclusion, Ou Yang Xiu’s mourning literary works have unique rhetorical techniques, which are not coinside with the classical literature. That means that his works represented a new development direction in the mourning literature. Accordingly, this research result gives a chance to re-evaluate Ou Yang Xiu’s literary works.
