여성에게 범죄불안감을 일으키는 주거지내 야간 골목길에서의 물리적 환경 요소 연구

최근에 주거 밀집 지역의 골목길, 구도심에서 범죄가 많이 발생하고 있어 이를 이용하는 여성들에게 범죄 불안감을 주고 있다. 본 연구는 야간에 낙후 된 골목길에서 여성이용자가 느끼는 범죄불안 장소의 물리적 환경 요소를 조 사, 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위해 의왕시에 위치한 골목길의 여성 이용자 25명 을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문내용은 골목길 내 이용 빈도와 불안 감, 만족도, 요소별 불안감 정도 등 이였다. 조사기간은 2014년 5월 20일부터 약 2주간 진행하였다. 선행연구 문헌고찰과 현장조사, 설문조사를 통해 주거 지내 야간 골목길의 물리적 환경 요소와 범죄 불안감을 조사 분석하였다. 연구결과, 해당 골목길 여성이용자가 범죄불안감을 가장 많이 느끼는 물리 적 환경 요소는 ‘CCTV의 설치’, ‘가로등 수’, ‘쓰레기가 무분별하게 투 기된 환경’ 순으로 나타났다. 따라서 여성 대상 범죄는 계획적 범죄보다 우 발적 범죄가 많은 관계로 CCTV 설치만으로 우발적 범죄를 예방하기 힘들므 로 CCTV뿐만 아니라 어두운 길을 밝힐 수 있는 가로등 추가 설치가 절실하 다고 생각한다.
Abstract
Recently many crimes in alleys of residential areas with dense (in alleys of highdensity residential zone) and old downtown are occurring. And this makes female users nervous. The aim of this study is to examine and analyze planning elements of location that makes women have fear of crime in alleys remain backward at night For this, we surveyed 25 women pedestrians in alleys of Uiwang city. We investigated the frequency of using the alleys, anxiety, satisfaction, levels of anxiety by elements and so on. The survey was carried out for about 2 weeks from 20th of May of 2014. We investigated and analyzed the correlation of environmental factors in alleys at night with fear of crime that derived from literature review in precedent study, field research and survey. As a result, the most anxious environmental factor was which CCTVs were not installed. And ‘the shortage of street lights' was second, followed by ‘location of the heap of garbage'. However Female crime is premeditated, it is more frequent than accidental so it is difficult to prevent the accidental crime by simply additional installing CCTV. For this reason, I think that it is necessary to install more street lights to brighten dark alleys.
