Abstract
Purpose This study examines how brand equity influences spectator behavior in Taekwondo demonstration performances at the University Presidential Cup, verifying the serial mediation effects of flow, university image, and lovemark. It highlights the strategic value of Taekwondo as cultural content and offers practical implications for university sports event planning. Method Frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multivariate multiple regression analysis were conducted using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 24.0 programs. Additionally, mediation and multiple serial mediation effects were verified through Hayes' PROCESS Macro Models 4 and 6. Results First, awareness, image, and loyalty had a positive (+) effect on the desire for continued viewing, while loyalty and perceived quality had a positive (+) effect on revisit intention. Second, action flow, university image, and lovemark were found to have both mediating effects and multiple serial mediation effects in the relationship between brand equity and spectator behavior. Conclusion Positive perceptions of the performance brand increase revisit intention through immersion, university image, and emotional attachment. Thus, Taekwondo performances should be strategically planned to enhance university image and build lasting lovemarks.
