바로크 공간에서 나타나는 시지각적 착시현상과 유형별 특성 분석 - 게슈탈트 시지각 이론을 중심으로

바로크 건축과 미술에 적용된 공간에 대한 표현은 기본적으로 전시대인 르네상스의 투시법과 개념적인 차이가 있다. 르네상스의 투시법이 공간체계의 시각적 상상력을 창출했다면 바로크는 ‘왜상(anamorphosis)’이라는 변칙적 투시법을 통해서 공간을 착시적인 현상으로 변화시켰다. 본 연구는 바로크 공간의 이러한 착시적 조형성을 분석하고 개념적으로 응용함으로서 공간이라는 자원의 효율성을 극대화 할 수 있다는 이론적 토대를 갖추기 위함이다. 바로크 공간의 착시적인 유형을 조형적으로 분류해보면 ‘왜상과 과장투시’, ‘중첩과 반복’, ‘운동과 연속’으로 구분된다. 그리고 이를 게슈탈트 시지각이론으로 분석해보면 주관적이고비가시적인 구축 요소로서 심상작용에 다양한 조형 언어적 의미를 생성시키고 그 응용적 결과를 확대시킬 수 있다.
Abstract
The representation of space applied to Baroque architecture and painture isbasically conceptually different from the Renaissance perspective. If the Renaissance perspective created the visual imagination of the spatial system, Baroque was transformed into an optical illusion through the anomalous perspective of ‘anamorphosis.’ The purpose of this study is to provide a theoretical basis for maximizing the efficiency of spatial resources by analyzing and applying the optical concepts of Baroque space. If the optical types of Baroque spaces are classified formatively, they are divided into ‘distortion and hypervisibility’, ‘overlapping and repeatability’, and ‘movement and continuity’. In addition, analyzing this with Gestalt's theory of visual perception creates various formative linguistic meanings as subjective and invisible architectural elements in visual action.
