유아의 작업기억과 처리속도 및 부적응행동 간의 관계 연구

본 연구의 목적은 유아의 부적응행동과 작업기억 및 처리속도 간의 관계를 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위해 만 4, 5세 유아 74명을 대상으로 K-WPPSI-Ⅳ의 작업기억과 처리속도를 측정하고 BBRS-2를 사용하여 부적응행동을 조사하였다. 연구결과, 유아의 부적응행동은 연령에 따른 차이가 없었으나 모든 부적응행동에서 남아가 여아보다 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 유아의 작업기억은 부적응행동 중 지적 문제, 주의․충동성문제, 신체문제, 사회적 위축 등과 부적 상관이 있었으며, 처리속도는 부적응행동 중 주의․충동성 문제 및 품행장애와 유의한 부적상관을 보였다. 작업기억 및 처리속도로 구성된 인지효율성에 나타난 어려움은 유아의 정서문제나 자신감결여를 제외한 품행장애, 주의․충동성문제, 사회적 위축, 지적문제, 신체문제의 발생과 관련이 있음을 알 수 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship among young children's maladjustment behaviors, working memory and processing speed. We measured working memory and processing speed of 74 young children in the age of 4 and 5 using K-WPPSI-Ⅳ and examined maladjustment behavior using BBRS-2. Result are as follows: there was no age difference but sex difference in maladjustment behavior, such as the level of maladjustment of boys is higher than that of girls. In addition, young children's working memory had negative relationship with ability deficits, attention and impulse control problems, physical deficits and social withdrawal within maladjustment behaviors. Processing speed also had significantly negative relationship with attention and impulse control problems and disruptive behavior. In sum, difficulties appearing in cognitive proficiency composed of working memory and processing speed have to do with the occurrence of young children's disruptive behavior, attention and impulse control problems, social withdrawal, ability deficit and physical deficits except for emotional problems and weak self-confidence.
