한일대학생의 대인불안 규정요인의 비교: 공적자기의식, 자아존중감, 정을 중심으로

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation of social anxiety, public self-consciousness, self-esteem, and Cheong in South Korea and Japan. The questionnaires were given to 196 South Korean university students and 177 Japanese university students. Social anxiety, public self-consciousness, and self-esteem were compared in both countries. The result showed that the score of social anxiety of the Japanese students was higher than the score of South Korean students, but the scores of public self-consciousness and self-esteem of Korean students were higher than those scores of Japanese students. The result of correlation analysis between social anxiety, public self-consciousness, and self-esteem in both countries showed that there was negative correlation between social anxiety and self-esteem in both countries, and there was positive correlation between social anxiety and public self-consciousness only in Japan. In addition to the above correlation analysis, the role of self-esteem as a variable that modulates the relation between social anxiety and public self-consciousness was examined. The relation of social anxiety and Cheong was compared in both countries. The result showed that there was no significant difference between Cheong of Korean students and Cheong of Japanese students, and there was no significant correlation between social anxiety and Cheong in South Korea and Japan.
