사회적기업의 성과 요인 분석: 외부자원의 효과와 복합유형의 조절효과를 중심으로

이 연구의 목적은 외부자원이 사회적기업의 성과에 미치는 영향을 2019년 사회적기업 자율경영공시(한국사회적기업진흥원 제공)를 활용하여 분석하는 것이다. 특히, 사회적기업의 성과를 조절하는 조절변수로서의 (사회적)협동조합 복합유형 채택도 검증하고자 했다. (사회적)협동조합은 사회적기업으로 진입하는 조직이 지지자나 봉사자의 확보, 단체 매력의 향상 등을 위해 매력적인 대안이 될 수 있다. 따라서 사회적기업 성과의 조절변수로서 실증적으로 분석해볼 가치가 있다. 실증분석의 결과, 먼저 조절변수를 고려하지 않은 외부자원의 효과는 민간 기부만 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 드러났다. 다시 말해, 정부 보조금은 매출과 취약계층 고용에 통계적 연관성이 부족하다는 것이다. 다만, 조절변수를 모형에 포함하면 정부 보조금의 효과가 일부 통계적으로 검증된다. (사회적)협동조합 형태의 사회적기업인 경우, 정부 보조금이 매출 상승에 긍정적으로 작용함으로써 복합유형 채택의 조절효과가 통계적으로 드러난 것이다. 다만, 오히려 민간 기부는 취약 계층 고용에 부정적으로 작용하는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to reveal the impact of direct subsidies and private donations on economic and social performances of social enterprises in Korea. Korean social enterprises are the unit of analysis and statistical significances of public subsidies and donations are estimated in the OLS models. In addition, this study tries to reveal the moderating effect of complex type of social enterprises. According to finding of OLS models, public subsidies are more related to social performance rather than economic performance, while donations are more related to economic performance. This study also find out the moderating effects of complex type of social enterprises.
