The demonstrative negation forms ‘geulaima, geulaira, geulairado’ at the Gyeongbuk dialect in Korea are synchronically the conjugation forms of the verb stem ‘geulai-’. In other words, if the verb stem ‘geulai-’ and the endings ‘-ma, -ra, -rado’ are combined, they can be done. The verb stem ‘geulai-’ can be devided into the demonstrative form ‘geul’ and the negation verb stem ‘ani-’ once again. It is one of the most unique stem which can be rarely founded at any dialects in Korea. It is the descendant of the middle Korean construction ‘geuri ani-’. The middle Korean construction ‘geuri ani-’ can be translated into noun negation form “It is not ...”, and the ‘geuri’ functioned as the noun at the middle Korean stage. The demonstrative negation verb stem at the Gyeongbuk dialect ‘geulai-’ can be analysed into ‘geul-ai-’, ‘geul’means ‘it’ and ‘ai-’ means ‘...is not...’. So we can find the formal and functional correspondences between the Gyeongbuk dialect verb stem ‘geulai-’ and the middle Korean construction ‘geuri ani-’. Diachronically, we can deduce that the historical linguistic change took place, likewise ‘geuri ani-ra > geuri-ani-ra > geul-ani-ra >geul-ai-ra’. The deletion of high vowel ‘i’ and the deletion of ‘n’ in front of vowel ‘i’are common in Korean linguistic development.
