≪朴通事諺解≫與≪朴通事新釋≫“來” 字比較硏究

Abstract

The character of “來” was frequently used in Chinese language in the age of recent antiquity and its usage was rather complicated. Professor Wangli in his Chinese Grammar History didn’t mention the usage of “來”. Liujian and other authors pointed out in their book Research on Chinese Function Words in Recent Antiquity that the auxiliary word LAI was less frequently used since Ming Dynasty. However they didn’t explain the decrease in detail. Through comparing contents sentence by sentence in the two books, this article analyzes the usage differences and change rules of LAI.LAI(including the simplified character of LAI, same as the following ) was used 455 times in Piaotongshi Yanjie and 283 times in Piaotongshi Xinshi. And LAI decreased 172 times in the second book. The contents of the two books were similar, but the frequency of “來” appeared great difference. And it was the difference, to a certain extent, that reflected “來”’s change in spoken Chinese from Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty.
