韓國文學上에서 본 神明· 鬼神論攷

Abstract

Already, 1 have shown my opinion upon the Guyshin (the spirit of earth and heaven) and the spirit which has appeared in the Korean literatures in the thesis which was printed in MYUNG]I-EOMOONHAHK, the theses collection of MYUNG]I university. In this paper, I intend to explain further and make an annotation of it. First of all, the primary meaning of the spirit and the general concept of the Guyshin of Korea have to be mentioned and carefully studied. In order to discuss about the Guyshin, Jowha (the creation) , and the ceremony music of ancient Korea on the base of the oriental philosophy, the soul of the universe, the formation and the change of the earth and heaven, and the principle of the orderly combination of the nature must be observed. Then, we get to be aware of the existence of the secret of the spirit implied in “the theory upon the Guyshin which has appeared in the paragraphs of Korean literatures." 1 meant the existence as the soul of literature with “ the mathematical principle of the Guyshin in the rhythem". “The perception of the spirit" becomes the motivation of the change in the meaning which place in the literary, musical, and pictural image. Further, in the takes composition of rhetorical expression, the beauty of thought was immersed. With “the musical principle of the Guyshin'’, we may perceive the broad spiritual world lain in the literary work of the humanity of the author himself, when investigating it with a literary creative mìnd (literary mind). Finally, the providence of the Guyshin that is shown in the conception of religeous faith and belief in vîew point of circumstancial study of Korean lîterature, is discussed. In addition, studying the relation between Korean literature and traditional Korean music, in other words, the relation of “song, dance and music" and “poetry, the words of a song and ballad" în the range of the orally handed-down lîterature, the disparity in the expression methods of both was mentioned, though, their common feature could be perceived being in hoth may be a good material to discuss upon the divinity and the Guyshin.
