초록
Climate changes on relative humidity were evaluated with emphasis on the temperature effect and the water vapor effect in three major cities of Korea (Seoul, Daegu and Busan). For almost all of cases the change point for temperature preceded that for RH. This indicates that temperature change can induce the change in RH. Focusing on the climate change in April, a predominant month, characteristics of different climate were examined by dividing two periods, ‘Wet-Cool (WC) period (1909~1962)’ and ‘Dry-Hot (DH) period (1974~2008)’. It is noted that the three big cities have a decreasing trend in relative humidity and increasing trend in temperature with long-term records. The features of hot and dry climate are also dominant over East Asia in recent years. Based on the two-way analysis of variance, the effects of temperature and water vapor pressure and their interaction effect on RH were assessed. The main effect of water vapor pressure is larger than that of temperature in the WC period, indicating significant influence of water vapor pressure on the RH. In the DH period, the main effects of temperature became significant at three cities. This result denotes that temperature can be the important factor in change of RH in recent years. The interaction between temperature and water vapor pressure is significant in both two periods.
