대학수업의 평가과정에서 학습동기 유발 요소 탐색: 자기결정성이론을 기반으로

초록

본 연구의 목적은 자기결정성이론을 기반으로 대학수업의 평가과정에서 학습동기 유발 요소를 탐색하는 것이다. 학습동기 유발 요소는 내적 요인, 대인 관계적 요인, 평가 요인을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 2016년도 2학기 D대학교 교육평가 수강생 42명을 대상으로 교양․전공 강좌의 수강 경험을 토대로 학습동기가 유발되었던 평가 경험에 대해 성찰일지 작성하기를 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학수업에서 평가의 경험을 내적 요인을 중심으로 탐색한 결과, 내적요인은 부정적 심리와 긍정적 심리로 나타났다. 내적 요인 중 부정적 심리는 외재적 동기의 의무감 조절, 내적 요인 중 긍정적 심리는 내재적 동기의 유능성과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대학수업에서 평가의 경험을 대인 관계적 요인을 중심으로 탐색한 결과, 대인 관계적 요인은 학우들과의 관계와 교수와의 관계로 나타났다. 학우들과의 관계와 교수와의 관계는 외재적 동기의 의무감 조절, 내재적 동기의 관계성과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 대학수업에서 평가의 경험을 평가 요인을 중심으로 탐색한 결과, 평가 유형과 평가 결과로 나타났다. 평가 유형은 내재적 동기의 자율성, 평가 결과는 외재적 동기의 외적 조절, 외재적 동기의 확인된 조절과 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 대학수업의 평가과정에서 대학생들의 학습동기를 유발할 수 있는 효과적인 방안에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the characteristics of the evaluation of the college class in terms of learning motivation based on Self Determination Theory. This study explored learning motivation focused on internal factors, interpersonal factors, and evaluative factors. For this purpose, reflection journal writing about the evaluation experiences that motived learning based on the experiences of the course of the liberal arts and majors were conducted with 42 undergraduates who attend educational evaluation classes in the second semester of 2016. The results were as follows. First, internal factors appeared to be both negative psychological and positive psychological. The negative psychological factors appeared to be related to introjected regulation of external motivation. The positive psychological factors appeared to be related to the competence of internal motivation. Second, interpersonal factors appeared to be the relationship with other students and the professor. In regards to these relationships, interpersonal factors appeared to be related to introjected regulation of external motivation and the relatedness of internal motivation. Third, evaluative factors appeared to be the evaluation method and the evaluation result. The evaluation method factors appeared to be related to autonomy of internal motivation. The evaluation result factors appeared to be related to external regulation of external motivation and identified regulation of external motivation. Based on the above findings, the study suggested the implications for effective evaluation that can promote the learning motivation of undergraduates.
