사회적자본이 지역경제 발전 인식과 가치 지향성에 미치는 영향 ― 사회적경제 이용 경험의 조절효과를 중심으로 ―

초록

본 연구는 사회적자본이 지역 주민의 가치 지향성 및 지역경제 발전 인식에 미치는 영향과 사회적경제 이용 경험이 이들의 관계에 미치는 효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 전국 19개 지역에서 수집된 1,896명의 주민 조사 자료를 토대로 변수들 간의 관계를 검증했다. 분석 결과 결속형 사회적자본은 성장 지향성 및 분배 지향성 모두와 정(+)적 관계를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 경제적 불평등 개선 인식에는 부(-)적 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 교량형 사회적자본은 지역경제 활성화와 경제적 불평등 개선 인식 모두에 부(-)적 영향을 미친다는 사실이 확인되었다. 그러나 사회적경제 이용 경험은 이를 완화하는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과는 다음의 함의를 제공한다. 첫째, 결속형 사회적자본이 강할수록 경제적 가치와 사회적 가치를 모두 추구한다. 둘째, 사회적자본이 강할수록 지역경제의 현실에 관해 비판적으로 인식한다. 셋째, 사회적경제 이용 경험은 지역경제의 현실을 비판적으로 인식하는 주민들의 부정적 인식을 완화하며 이는 대안적 경제활동에 참여하는 경험에 의한 것으로 해석된다. 따라서 사회적경제 활동에 소비자로 참여하는 것 외에도 사회적 가치를 이해하고 활동에 결합하며 사회적경제 방식의 문제해결을 위한 거버넌스 참여 경험이 확산될 필요가 있다.

Abstract

This study examined the impact of social capital on local residents' value orientation and perception of local economic development, while considering the role of social economy experience. Survey data from 1,896 residents in 19 regions were analyzed. The findings showed that bonding social capital had a positive relationship with growth and distribution orientations, but a negative effect on the perception of economic inequality improvements. Bridging social capital negatively influenced both local economic revitalization and the perception of economic inequality improvements. However, the experience of participating in the social economy mitigated these negative effects. The implications are as follows: stronger bonding social capital fosters the pursuit of economic and social values; increased bridging social capital leads to a critical perception of the local economy's reality; and engaging in the social economy experience helps alleviate negative perceptions among residents who critically recognize the local economy. This experience reflects active involvement in alternative economic activities. Therefore, active participation in social economy activities as consumers, along with an understanding of social values, and promoting governance participation, is crucial for expansion of social economy experience.
