초록
The productive forces of labor is one of the most important concepts in Marxisttheory; unfortunately it is also one of the most ambiguous, due to the lack ofdevelopment of economic theory. Yet this concept is crucial to understandingother components of the labor theory of value like surplus value, capitalaccumulation, etc. It is the most important variable regarding the law of valueand is fundamental in order to associate economics with other social sciences andhistorical evolution. This paper presents the productive forces of labor as themediator concept between two forms in which production is performed: technical(physical or material) and social. Our technical analysis includes the mathematicalformalization of the productive forces of labor and how it is connected toparticular economic concepts such as necessary labor time, productivity and thetechnical composition of capital.
