이채언의 최근 저작 『마르크스 정치경제학의 새 발견』은 이른바 단일체계해석의 입장에서 마르크스의 노동가치론 전반에 걸친 혁신을 시도하고 있다. 전형문제에 대한 방법론적 재해석은 매우 근본적인 논점을 제기하고 있으며, 사회적 노동과 보편적 노동, 실질가치와 명목가치의 구별 등도 유용한 분석틀을 제공해준다. 그러나 새로운 해석이니만큼 여전히 추구해야 할 문제도 남아 있다. 특히, 유기적 자본개념은 납득하기 어려운 문제점을 지닌 것으로 보인다.
Abstract
Chai-on Lee’s recent book tries to reformulate Marxian value theory from the perspective of the single-system interpretation. Besides the methodologically fundamental reinterpretation of the so-called transformation problem, his distinctions between social labor and universal labor, and between real value and nominal value provide a useful framework for renovating labor theory of value. However, there are still some remaining problems that must be pursued further. In particular, the concept of organic capital raises more questions than it answers.
