Under the new situation of geopolitical revival, the “One Belt, One Road(OBOR)” initiative has become the key to coordinating the international and domestic overall situation in the “new era”,1) setting the basic track and the direction for China’s new geopolitical strategic development path. Trump’s C5+1 in Central Asia, Putin’s Eurasian Economic Union, the EU’s “Belt and Road”, and the “Project Mausam” launched by the Modi government are related to the OBOR initiative, these strategies have also triggered geopolitical economic challenges to the OBOR initiative. Based on the OBOR initiative background, this paper analyzes the attitudes and status quo of the US, EU, Russia and India’s current participation in the OBOR initiative through the studies of the existing scholars on the OBOR initiative, thereby actively explore the implementation-changes of these strategies, and challenges that may affect their participation in the OBOR initiative. It is found that the “C5+1” and the “Project Mausam” have exclusive, targeted and speculative effects on the OBOR initiative, mutual trust is insufficient, and the parallel and competitive aspects are more obvious; Although the OBOR has achieved considerable results in the docking cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union, they face the potential risks of geographical interest imbalance; In the implementation-changes of the EU’s “Belt and Road”, the coexistence of unstable risks and challenges: there are differences between the OBOR initiative and the “Rules” of the EU’s “Belt and Road”, the EU’s understanding of the OBOR initiative is divided, and the EU needs to maintain internal unity.
