비혼모의 출산·양육 체험에 나타난 여성의 주체성에 대한 현상학적 연구

초록

본 연구는 시설 경험 없는 지역사회 거주 양육비혼모 8명의 출산과 양육 체험에 관한 현상학적 연구로서 자료 분석은 Colaizzi의 체험적 현상학적 방법을 사용하였다. 분석자료는 연구 참여자별로 실시한 심층면담 구술 기록이다. 연구 결과 21개의 주제와 7개의 주제결집이 나타났다. 주제결집은 삶의 전부인 아이, 함께 모험할 용기를 가짐, 갈라파고스에서 알바트로스, 사회적 편견과 내적 갈등, 고독한 삶과 트라우마, 성숙한 복수, 지지를 발판으로 한 자기 삶의 주인공으로써의 상승으로 나타났다. 연구자는 본 연구 결과로 제시된 지역사회 거주 양육 미혼모의 출산과 양육 체험을 여성의 주체성, 지역사회의 편견과 지지에 대한 양가성, 그들에게 가해진 시선의 권력에 대한 논의를 하였다. 마지막으로 지역사회 거주 양육비혼모들을 지원할 수 있는 구체적 제언을 했다.

Abstract

This is a phenomenological study on the experiences of labor and nurturing among eight unmarried mothers who lack experience in child-rearing. Colaizzi’s empirical phenomenological method was used for data analysis. In-depth interviews were used to collect oral narratives from the participants. The study result showed 21 subjects and 7 subject concentrations. The subject concentrations showed increase in self-esteem among unmarried mothers as self-life's leading characters by identifying children as the most important part of their life, having the courage to go on adventures together, albatross in Galapagos, social prejudices and inner conflicts, solitary life and trauma, mature revenge, and support as stepping stones. Based on the study results, the researcher examined issues such as women’s independence, ambivalence on the community's prejudice and support, and the impact of the attention that the participants receive. Finally, the study made a definite proposal to support nurturing unmarried mothers living in the local community.
