이동전화의 위치관리는 별도의 시그널 망을 필요로 하나 최적의 데이터 전송경로 형성이 가능하며, Mobile IP의 위치관리는 IP 네트워크에서 수행되나 Triangle routing을 발생시킨다. 본 논문에서는 이 두 가지 방식의 장점을 취합한 새로운 매크로 이동성관리 방법을 제안한다. 동 방식은 E-Mail 주소와 DNS 등 인터넷의 기존 인프라에 기반함으로써 인터넷에 적용하기 쉬우며, 위치관리에 소요되는 비용도 적게 발생시킨다.
Abstract
The mobility management for the mobile phone needs a supplementary signaling-network like SS7, but it offers optimal data-path among the communicating entities. On the contrary, the mobility management for the mobile IP requires only IP network, but it raises a triangle-routing problem. This paper suggests a new macro mobility management method which has both merits of the mobile phone and the mobile IP. Suggested method is based on so popular infrastructures of the Internet, such as E-mail address and DNS, that it can be practically applied to the Internet.
