Abstract
Digital fingerprinting schemes enables a merchant to identify the buyer (traitor) of an illegally distributed digital good by providing each buyer with a slightly different version. In this paper, we propose a new fingerprinting scheme with improved the step of identification and fingerprinting using proxy signature and COT (Committed Oblivious Transfer). In [6], Domingo-Ferrer presents the first anonymous fingerprinting scheme in which the help of a registration center is not need to identify a redistributor. The problem with the construction is that, being based on secure multiparty computation, their complexity is too high to be implement in practice. In [7], Domingo-Ferrer introduced anonymous fingerprinting based on COT (Committed Oblivious Transfer) where all computations can be performed efficiently. But this scheme's disadvantage is that all buyers having bought a copy of digital content have to participate in identification protocol to identify redistributor. We present that our schemes are more efficient than Domingo's schemes [6],[7] by improving the step of fingerprinting and identification of redistributors. That is, we improve the efficiency of fingerprinting step from Domingo's first scheme [6] and identification step from Domingo's second scheme [7]. Since our schemes improve the step of fingerprinting and identification from the point of view of customer/buyer with a small amount of memory and computation, we expect the proposed scheme to be suitable to practical application of digital contents copyright protection.
