Eureka-147 DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) 시스템[1]은 이미 유럽에서 이동수신 성능이 보장된 시스템으로써 오디오 서비스를 기본으로 제공하고 여기에 파일 및 스트림 형태의 멀티미디어 데이터를 추가로 전송할 수 있는 시스템이다. 지상파 DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting)는 스트림 형태의 멀티미디어 데이터를 전송할 수 있는 Eureka-147 DAB 시스템을 특성을 이용하여 이동 환경에서 안정된 비디오 동영상 서비스를 제공할 목적으로 개발되었다. 반면에 본 논문에서는 Eureka-147 DAB 시스템의 이러한 특징을 기반으로 단말 플랫폼에 무관하게 파일 형태의 다양한 데이터 서비스를 가장 효율적으로 제공할 수 있는 현재 국내 및 국제 표준화가 추진중인 지상파 DMB 미들웨어 표준에 대해 소개하고자 한다.
Abstract
The Eureka-147 DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) system was confirmed excellent mobile reception in Europe, it provides audio service basically, file and stream type multimedia data additionally. The Terrestrial DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) was developed to provide stable video streaming service in mobile environment using the characteristics of excellent mobile reception and stream type multimedia data transmission capability. On the other side, this paper introduces the terrestrial DMB middleware standardization state under domestic and international standardization and its standard which can provide various file type data services very effectively independent of receiver platform.
