초록

BcN은 통신기술의 역사상 3번째로 시도되는 Converged Network 기술이다. BcN이 음성과 데이터의 통합, 유선과 무선 통합, 패킷과 광의 통합, 그리고 통신과 방송의 융합을 추구하는 NGN과 차별되는 것은 사용자 관점에서의 가치통신을 실현할 수 있는 네트워크 아키텍쳐이기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 사용자 관점의 가치통신의 실현에 필요한 요구사항의 도출과 이에 대한 기존 IP/MPLS 아키텍쳐의 한계성 분석을 토대로 새로운 Flow 기반 QoS 보장 네트워크 아키텍쳐를 제안한다.

Abstract

BcN (NGN) is the third-phase Technology for Converged Network. BcN has different concept with NGN that have focused on the integration of Voice and data, of Wired and Wireless, of Packet and Optical technology, and the convergence of communication and broadcasting services. BcN enables a ‘value communication’ that is supporting ‘the differentiated services’ between users and providers. In this article, we discussed general requirements for value communication and analyzed limitations of IP/MPLS architecture for it. We then propose a new network architecture, Flow-based QoS guaranteed Networks, for scalable end-to-end QoS guaranteed services.
