Abstract
In this paper, we propose the BER performance improvement of the UWB-TR(Ultra WideBand-Transmitted Reference) system. The proposed DATR(Differential Averaging Transmitted Reference) system combines the ATR(Averaged TR) and DTR(Differential TR) system which are using the average of transmitted signals by symbol and the previous signal as a reference, respectively. The improved reference signal is obtained from the correlation of averaged previous transmitted signals and the current received signal. The proposed system shows the improved the BER performance compared with the conventional UWB-DTR system by theoretical analysis and simulation results.
