초록

Joint carrier synchronization and equalization schemes are introduced for high-speed wireless communications, which have lower complexity in implementation and faster acquisition performance than the conventional schemes, since the proposed schemes operate in a complex domain. Moreover, the schemes do not require any analog device such as a voltage-controlled oscillator in implementation. A carrier synchronizer structure is constructed that is based on decision-directed methods to estimate the frequency and phase offsets. Two estimators in the structure use only a tentatively decided symbol in estimating frequency and phase offsets simultaneously. A joint carrier synchronization and equalization model is established by extending the carrier phase recovery function in the synchronization model to a general equalization one. A scheme based on AR and LMS methods has been illustrated and analyzed in the viewpoint of acquisition performance.
