이 논문에서는 원형 배열 감지기를 한 짝 써서 동기적으로 퍼진 신호원의 2차원 (수평·수직) 신호도착방향을 추 정한다. 퍼진 신호원은 중심 수평각, 수평각 퍼짐, 중심 수직각, 수직각 퍼짐으로 정의해야 하므로 일반적으로 추정하 기가 매우 어렵다. 이 논문에서는 복잡하지 않은 2차원 추정방법으로 순차 1차원 찾기 (sequential one-dimensional searching) 알고리듬을 제안한다. 2차원 신호도착방향을 추정할 때, 제안한 알고리듬은 최대 비슷함 방법과 (maximum likelihood method) 비슷한 추정성능을 나타낸다는 것을 모의실험으로 보였다.
Abstract
We consider the estimation of two-dimensional (azimuth and elevation) direction-of-arrival (DOA) using a pair of uniform circular arrays under a coherently distributed source model. Since the coherently distributed source is characterized by four parameters, the nominal azimuth DOA, angular extension of the azimuth DOA, nominal elevation DOA, and angular extension of the elevation DOA, the computational complexity of a parameter estimation method is normally highly demanding. In this paper, we propose a low-complexity estimation algorithm, called the sequential one-dimensional searching algorithm. The proposed algorithm exhibits as good an estimation performance as the maximum likelihood method for the estimation of twodimensional DOA
