청소년기 미래 목표의식이 초기 성인기 개인역량 및 행복감에 미치는 영향

초록

본 연구는 한국교육개발원에서 조사하여 제공한 한국교육종단연구(KELS)2005 6차부터 9차까지 데이터를 사용하여 청소년기 미래 목표의식이 초기 성인기 개인역량 및 행복감에 미치는 효과를 확인한 것이다. 청소년기 중요한 지지기반인 가정의 부모지원, 학교의 교사열의가 청소년의 미래 목표의식에 미치는 영향, 목표의식이 학업성취에 미치는 영향 그리고 이러한 요인이 지속적으로 초기 성인기 개인역량과 행복감에 미치는 영향을 확인하는 것이다. 분석 표본은 한국교육종단연구2005 중학생 패널이 고등학생이 되는 시점에서 부모지원과 교사열의, 목표의식에 응답하고, 수능성적이 있으며, 초기 성인기 시점에서 개인역량과 행복감 항목에 모두 응답한 패널이다. 분석 방법은 구조방정식모형을 설정하여 선정된 요인 간의 인과관계 효과를 확인하였다. 분석에 사용된 프로그램은 SPSS와 LISREL이다. 분석결과 부모지원과 교사열의는 청소년기 미래 목표의식에 중요한 영향요인이지만, 학업성취에 미치는 영향에는 차이가 있다. 또한 청소년기 목표의식과 학업성취는 초기 성인기 개인역량에 중요한 영향 요인이지만 행복감에 미치는 효과는 유의하지 않거나(남학생) 부적인(여학생) 결과를 나타내고 있다. 그러나 부모지원, 교사열의, 목표의식, 학업성취가 개인역량을 매개하면 행복감에 유의한 효과를 나타낸다. 본 연구결과는 청소년기 목표의식이 초기 성인기 개인역량과 행복감에 미치는 효과를 확인할 수 있으며, 건강한 청소년기 발달과 교육활동에 도움이 되는 중요한 정보로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of future goal consciousness in adolescence based on personal competence and happiness in early adulthood. Design/methodology/data/approach: This article proceeds from the basic assumption that parental support in households and teacher fervor in school, which are important support bases in adolescence, have an effect on future goal consciousness in adolescence, and an effect on personal competence and happiness in adulthood. The subjects were 2,841 (male=1,321, female=1,520) school students who responded to all questions on a questionnaire from their 6th wave at high school to their 9th wave in this data was drawn from the KELS (Korea Education Longitudinal Study) 2005. The analysis was performed using a LISREL program to establish a causality between the selected factors for structural equations modeling. Results: The results of the analysis show that the effects of parental support and teacher fervor on future goal consciousness are consistent, and are significant factors. But the effects of future goal consciousness differ significantly with regards to personal competence and happiness in adulthood. The effects on personal competence are significant and the effects on happiness are no significant. These effects are consistent with regards to gender. Values: The research results confirmed the causality between parental support, teacher fervor, consciousness of future goals, personal competence and happiness. The usefulness of this information should help to grow development and educational performance in adolescence.
