Abstract
This paper investigates the design concept and research trend of Information-centric networking, a new paradigm shift of the Internet from host-centric to content-centric. We first examine the main building blocks and design principles of content-centric networking, one of the representative studies of information-centric networking that allows communications not by the IP address but by the content name for efficient content delivery. Three important issues to effectively realize the content-centric networking have been studied by our research group in Seoul National University: caching, routing, and wireless. We discuss about the design considerations of each issue and introduce our ongoing work.
