스마트폰이 사용자와 인터넷을 연결해주는 기기였다면 웨어러블 디바이스는 IoT(Internet of Things) 또는 IoE(Internet of Everything) 시대를 여는데 앞장설 수 있는 기기라고 할 수 있다.
Abstract
As smartphones have become an essential part of modern life, wearable devices are attracting attention as the next generation of smart devices. Whereas smartphones are used to connect to the Internet, wearable devices will open the era of IoT(Internet of Things) and IoE(Internet of Everything). A wearable device is designed to be carried by a user for 24 hours a day and provide various convenient services. This paper reviews the current research trend in wearable devices and discusses how wearable devices can be used for various situation awareness applications.
