본 연구는 청소년들을 대상으로 가정폭력 경험과 외상후 스트레스간의 관계에서 용서의 역할을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 임의표집된 중학생 324명(남학생 148명, 여학생 176명)과 고등학생 188명(남학생 84명, 여학생 104명)을 대상으로 두 종류의 가정폭력 경험정도, 외상후 스트레스 및 부모에 대한 용서크기를 측정하였다. 구체적으로, 먼저 본 연구에서는 부모에 대한 용서가 두 종류의 가정폭력 경험(심리적 폭력, 신체적 폭력) 중 주로 어떤 종류의 가정폭력으로 인한 외상후 스트레스 증상을 완화시키는지 알아보고자 하였다. 둘째, 세 가지 종류의 용서(정서적 용서, 인지적 용서, 행동적 용서) 중 어떤 용서가 가정폭력 경험으로 인한 외상후 스트레스 증상을 완화시키는데 더 큰 역할을 하는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과 청소년들의 부모에 대한 용서는 주로 심리적 폭력으로 인한 외상후 스트레스를 완화시켜 주는 것으로 나타난 반면, 신체적 폭력으로 인한 효과는 완화시켜주지 못하였다. 한편 세 종류의 용서 중에서 인지적 용서는 가정폭력 경험으로 인한 외상후 스트레스를 완화시키는 것으로 나타난 반면, 정서적 용서와 행동적 용서는 완화역할을 하지 않았다.
Abstract
The present study aimed to show how forgiveness can play a role between the adolescents’ experience of family violence and posttraumatic stress. It was conducted to measure the experience of family violence, posttraumatic stress, and forgiveness of students from 512(232 male, 280 female) middle and high school students. Specifically, it was intended to show whether forgiveness for parents can ease off posttraumatic stress induced from family violence. The major results are as follows: Adolescents’ forgiveness for parents plays a role as a buffer between the experience of family violence and their posttraumatic stress. Although forgiveness didn't take buffer role between the experience of physical violence and posttraumatic stress, but it did between the experience of psychological violence and posttraumatic stress. Among the three types of forgiveness, only cognitive forgiveness take a buffer role between the experience of violence and posttraumatic stress. Meanwhile emotional and behavioral forgiveness didn't take a any role between them.
