이 논문의 목적은 탈냉전 시대의 분쟁과 무질서의 근원을 테러리즘의 구조적 원인에 대한 역사적 분석을 통해 밝히려는 것이다. 이를 위해 이 논문에서는 탈냉전 이후 테러리즘과 마약밀래의 국제정치적 의미를 분석하면서 냉전 시대에 비해 훨씬 중요한 의미를 갖게 된 테러리즘과 마약밀매, 나아가서 이 두 변수의 연계관계를 강조함으로써 탈냉전 시대의 국제정치적 무질서 현상을 설명하고자 한다. 그리고 이와 더불어 ‘새로운 질서’의 창조라는 미명 하에 추진되고 있는 미국의 강경책이 새로운 국제무질서와 분쟁의 원인이 될 수 있음을 논하게 될 것이다.
Abstract
This paper attempts to analyze the etiology of disorder of international politics in a new perspective. In order to explain this phenomenon, the researchers employ two independent variables: a terrorism and a drug-trafficking. In addition, social actors, which are involved in such illegal activities, could be also highlighted, . Chapter II and III address how terrorism and drug-smuggling came to be significant within a context of international politics, especially in an era of post cold-war. Chapter IV shows how the shifting of ‘terrorism-drug trafficking nexus’ is going to be a key source of new disorder in the post-cold war period. Finally this paper briefly proposes that the current patterns of the new US policies deploying in the name of forming a new international order ironically could be a another powerful factor which could be triggered to new disorder of international in the near future.
