Abstract

The independence movement in the Sejong area was actively carried out, including the struggle for righteous army, self-determination, youth social movement, the torch Alliance movement, and the protest against shrine worship but the number of independence fighters who received an ordination was only 54. It is much smaller than other regions in Chungcheongnam-do. Through this study, 72’s activities of the independence movement were confirmed by using research results and data. In addition, 12 people were found imprisoned in Seodaemun Prison on charges of casualties. In order to make the independence movement in the Sejong area into content, it is necessary to first restore cultural archetype of the independence movement of Sejong-si. As part of this, It was selected as As macro-content that contents are “the Confucian scholar’s struggle against each other,” “the social movement of young people,” “the torch coalition movement,” “overseas armed struggle,” and “collective anti-Japanese struggle”. It was suggested As the micro-content based on macro-content that contents are the struggle for righteous army/self-determination/family register and single-shot rejection, the Yeongi Youth Association/Hoseo Journalist Alliance, the Torch Manse Movement, the Korean Patriotic Revolutionary Party and the Hwabuk Korean National League, the struggle to refuse shrine worship and the suppression of the Japanese Keumgangdaedo. There are couple of micro-contents that allow us to structure narrative. First, discovering data by using the Torch Independence Movement, recording historical evidence, secure sites, and develop related programs. Second, emphasizing the image of a youth city under the theme of the anti-Japanese struggle. Third, making history telling of overseas fighters and reinterpretation. Fourth, Geumgang University’s refusal to visit the shrine. It is possible to structure narrative by using these micro-contents. The contents can be expanded and reproduced with an OSMU strategy that utilizes multiple sources. It can be developed into various contents such as exhibitions, performances, festivals, broadcasting, characters, publishing, applications, education, and experiences. The above historical and cultural contents of the independence movement will help remember and commemorate the independence movement and independence activists in the Sejong area of Japanese colonial era through interaction with citizens. Furthermore, it will serve as the basis for the formation of an emotional community in the Sejong area.
