SD척도법을 통한 공공시설물 환경색채에 관한 심리적 반응 연구 - 서울시 둔촌동 시설물을 중심으로 -

Abstract

(Background and Purpose) Public facilities are installed in the public space as an object and constitute the space according to each role. The elements of a facility are classified into materials, shapes, etc., and are all expressed differently depending on the location and usability of the space. Accordingly, there is a possibility that the composition of non-uniform elements may cause fatigue and confusion to users of the space. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of color on the psychological responses of users by focusing on environmental color among the various elements of the facility. (Method) First, the data and psychological responses that dictate the types and colors of public facilities were examined theoretically. Second, research subjects were selected, and a public design color standard guide to be applied to the subject was derived. Third, in order to apply the color derived to the research subject and understand the psychological response of the user, a survey was conducted according to the SD scale method after extracting the evaluation vocabulary based on the PAD model. Fourth, reliability analysis(Cronhach-α) was conducted to confirm the accuracy of the survey based on the results of the survey, and the contents of the color and evaluation vocabulary of public facilities were schematized based on descriptive statistics. (Results) As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the psychological response to the color of the facility was different according to the user characteristics of the public facility by age group. In the case of people in their 20s, they responded to the evaluation vocabulary mainly in Dancheong red, and in their 30s, they showed psychological reactions to Dancheong red, Seoul sky blue, and Namsan green, finding that people in their 30s were affected by various colors than 20s. In addition, people in their 40s showed psychological reactions to dancheong red and achromatic colors of roof tiles and dark gray, which dark gray reactions can be said to be differentiated from those in their 20s and 30s. Finally, in the color change of bicycle stands among public facilities, there was a similar tendency that did not polarize the user's psychology in all age groups. (Conclusions) This study suggested the need for empirical research on complex factors such as the size, material, and usability of facilities in the future, as well as the color subdivided by searching for the connection between environmental color of public facilities and human psychology. It is expected that this study will be used as basic data in selecting the color of public facilities.
