최근 방범용 CCTV와 주거침입 절도에 관한 선행연구들을 살펴보면 주택 유형을 구분하지 않고 예방효과를 설명하였을 뿐만 아니라 공간 종속성을 간과함에 따라 변수 간의 공간적 상호작용을 충분히 설명하지 못하였다. 이러한 이유로 본 연구는 주거침입 절도가 공간 종속성을 가질 거라는 가정을 바탕으로 주택 유형의 차이가 주거침입 절도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 방범용 CCTV의 조절 효과를 설명하고자 통계청의 통계구역 최소단위인 집계구를 기준으로 주거침입 절도(종속변수), 주택 유형(독립변수), 방범용 CCTV(조절변수), 인구밀도(통제변수)를 활용하여 검증하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 특정 집계구에서 주거침입 절도가 증가한다고 하여 인접 집계구의 주거침입 절도가 같이 증가하지 않는 것으로 나타나 주거침입 절도는 공간 종속성이 없어 보인다. 둘째, 단독주택이 많은 집계구 일수록 주거침입 절도는 증가하는 경향을 보인다. 셋째, 방범용 CCTV는 단독주택에서 발생하는 주거침입 절도를 감소시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타나 단독주택에서 발생하는 주거침입 절도의 예방효과가 있어 보인다.
Abstract
Recent studies on crime prevention CCTV and the Burglary have not only described the preventive effects without distinction of type of housing, but also failed to fully account for spatial interactions among variables as they overlooked space dependencies. For this reason, this study examined the effects of differences in types of housing on the Burglary on the assumption that Burglary would have spatial dependencies and verified using the Burglary (dependent variable), housing type (independent variable), crime prevention CCTV(moderating variables) and population density (control variable) based on the National Statistical Office’s minimum unit the census block group. The results of the study show that, first of all, the Burglary does not seem to have spatial dependencies. because an increase in the Burglary in a particular census block group does not result in the same increase in the Burglary in adjacent census block group. Second, the Burglary tends to increase in the census block group with many detached houses. Third, crime prevention CCTV are shown to have the effect of reducing the degree of the burglary in a detached houses, which seems to have a preventative effect of the Burglary in a detached house.
