한국판 SD4(Short Dark Tetrad) 요인구조 탐색 및 타당화 연구: ESEM과 Rasch 평정척도모형을 활용하여

초록

본 연구의 목적은 한국 수형자에게 적합한 SD4의 요인구조를 산출하고, Messick의 통합적 타당도 관점에서 그 타당도를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 SD4를 국내에서 활용하기 위해 먼저 비교적 해악적 성격과 연관이 높은 범죄를 저지른 수형자를 대상으로 타당화를 진행하였다. 이를 위하여 전국 11개 교도소에서 기결 수형자 311명을 표집하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 및 탐색적 구조방정식 모형을 실시하여 한국 수형자에게 적합한 모형을 탐색하였다. 그 결과 ‘마키아밸리즘’, ‘나르시시즘’, ‘사이코패시’, ‘사디즘’의 4개 요인으로 구성된 모형이 최종 선택되었다. 다음으로 평정척도모형을 통해 다양한 측면에서 한국판 SD4의 타당도와 문항의 범주를 확인하였으며 원 척도와 달리 4점 척도가 더 알맞은 구성임을 확인하였고 본 척도에 대한 신뢰도를 산출하였으며 전체적으로 수용가능할 정도의 타당도와 신뢰도를 확인하였다. 본 연구는 원 척도의 요인 구조를 제한적으로 지지하는 한국판 SD4의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하여 국내 교정장면에서 사용가능한 평가도구를 제시하였다는 데 그 의의가 있다. 특히 원 척도의 구성을 그대로 활용하는 것이 아니라 국내에 맞는 척도의 구성을 새로이 밝혔다는 점에서 학문적 시사점 뿐 아니라 비교문화적 시사점 또한 제시하고자 했다. 특히, 수형자 분류 심사 및 심리치료 프로그램의 적용과 검증과 같은 다양한 교정 단계에서 기존의 재범위험성 평가도구를 보완할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of current study is to explore factor structure of SD4 suitable for Korean inmates and verify validity from the perspective of Messick’s integrated validity. SD4 is a psychological test tool for measuring four harmful personality consisted in Machiavellinism, narcissism, psychopathy, and sadism, and in order to utilize SD4 in Korea, current study aims to make it a starting point for domestic use by validating inmates who commit crimes with relatively high harmful personality. For study, 311 convicted prisoners were sampled in 11 prisons. EFA and ESEM were conducted to explore a suitable model for Korean inmates. As a result, a model consited in four factors were finally selected.: Marchiavellianism, Narcissism, Psychopathy, and Sadism. Additionally, we confirm that 4-Likert scale format is better than 5-Likert scale. Next, through RSM, the validity and respond category were confirmed in various aspects, and the reliability of this scale was also calculated. The validity and reliability were acceptable as a whole. Current study is meaningful in that it verified the reliability and validity of Korean version of SD4 which limitedly supports the factor structure of the original scale, and presented an evaluation tool that can be used in correction institution. Specifically, not using original format, we suggest not only academical but also cross-cultural implication for exploration about format of scale suited in Korea. Also, we propose mean to supplement the existing risk assessment tools at carious correction stages, such as the application and verification of prisoner classification and program.
