기형도 시에 나타난 생태의식

Abstract

In Hyeong-do Gi’s poetry, the ecological cogitation unravels while his first phenomenological environment, the ecology, creates a structure of unconsciousness and relentlessly confronts against the substances of death. The ecology, in the process of fully weathering the paradox of systems in our society and environmental changes induced by industrial capital, gets locked up into life. His poetry, meanwhile, accuses the ecological death of the humans through reification. The desire of a subject and the lack of ecology appears itself through a “gaze”, which gives the subject a promising hope for overcoming reification. Hyeong-do Gi’s ecology is the origin of unconsciousness that serves as the fundamental spirit of his poetry. His vivid ecological cogitation becomes the values that we must pursue, demanding responsible stance for the protection of ecology and sense of community. This paper intends to look into the ecological awareness of Hyeong-do Gi’s poetry, which among others, expresses the strongest and most vivid sense of issue and significance, while discovering and proving that it was this ecological consciousness that runs through his artistic aesthetics and realistic values as the ultimate pursuit of his poetry.
