노인복지시설에 대한 노인소비자의 요구도와 이용의도: 울산광역시 노인소비자를 중심으로

Abstract

The purpose of this study are to examine a demand and an intention to use at the welfare facilities for the aged consumers, and to analyze the differences between independent variables and a demand and an intention to use at the welfare facilities. Based on the model of Andersen and Newman(1973), this study composed of independent variables as the predisposing factors, the enabling factors, and the need factor. Data were collected from 500 older adults in Ulsan and SPSS PC program was used to analyze the data. The results are summarized as follows. First, for the aged consumers in Ulsan, the level of intention to use was generally lower than those of demand at the welfare facilities for the aged. Second, the types of demand at the welfare facilities for the aged were classified as ‘the group of high demand’ and ‘the group of low demand’. The types of demand were significantly differed by the enabling factors such as the number of family with living together, the number of children, and the average monthly household income. Third, the types of intention to use at the welfare facilities for the aged were classified as ‘the group of strong intention to use’, ‘the group of some intention to use’, and ‘the group of no intention to use’. The types of intention to use were significantly differed by the predisposing factors(sex and age), the enabling factors(presence of the spouse, the number of family with living together, the number of children, and the average monthly household income), and the need factor(activities of daily living). Finally, the relation between the demand and the intention to use at the welfare facilities for the aged showed that the high demand at the welfare facilities for the aged is not directly proportional to the strong intention to use.
