초록

본 연구는 기혼자녀와 노부모 간 관계 연구로써 상호 성숙하고 친밀한 관계형성을 도모하기 위한 실천방안을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다 이를 위하여 스트레스-평가-대처이론을 기반으로 노부모의 성인 기혼자녀에 대한 비지지적 행동과 의존성을 스트레스원으로, 성인 기혼자녀의 건강과 경제수준, 성장기 부모로부터 받은 지지경험과 부모부양의식을 스트레스원에 대한 대처자원으로 설정하였다. 설정된 스트레스원과 대처자원은 노부모와의 관계 불만족을 매개로 노부모와의 관계 부적응 행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 가정하였다. 연구모형의 데이터 적합성을 검증하기 위해 일개 지역 대학교와 고등학교 학부모를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 280명의 응답 자료를 기초로 Amos 6.0을 이용하여 경로분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 노부모의 의존성과 비지지적 행동은 노부모와의 관계 불만족에 정적인 영향을 미치며, 성장기 지지경험과 부모부양의식은 관계 불만족에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 이들 요인들은 노부모와의 관계 불만족을 매개로 노부모와의 관계 부적응 행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구결과를 기초로 노년기 부모-자녀 관계를 향상시키기 위해서는 노부모의 기혼자녀에 대한 비지지적 행동 감소를 위한 노인교육, 성장과정에서부터의 적절한 부모-자녀관계형성을 위한 양육지원프로그램 그리고 의무가 아닌 성숙을 통한 긍정적인 부모부양행동 증진을 위한 자아성장프로그램 등이 필요함을 제시하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to suggest the necessity of various social welfare programs for establishing a more mature and intimate parent-child relationship. In order to attain the objective, I formulated a research model based on the stress-appraisal-coping theory. Old parents'non supportive behavior and dependency were adopted as the sources of stress, and children's health and economic level, emotional support from parents early in life, and the consciousness of parent support were adopted as the resources of coping. It was assumed that the adopted sources of stress and resources of coping have a direct effect on children's dissatisfaction with the old parent. For the statistical verification of the research model, I conducted a questionnaire survey of the parents of university and high school students in one area. In the survey, I collected data from 280 parents. Using the data, path analysis was performed with Amos 6.0 in order to test the statistical validity of the research model. According to the results of the analysis, old parents's non supportive behavior and their economic and housework dependency were found to increase children's dissatisfaction with the old parents, and emotional support from parents early in life and their consciousness of parent support were found to decrease their dissatisfaction with the relation. Children's dissatisfaction with the relation had the effect of mediating between the sources of stress and the resources of coping and the children's behavior of maladjustment. In conclusion, this study showed that, in order to improve the old parent-child relationship, we need to develop elderly education for reducing old parents' non supportive behavior to their children, programs for establishing a desirable parent-child relationship from the growth process, and programs for self growth that promote positive parent support behavior through children's maturity.
