<광한루기(廣寒樓記)> 평비문(評批文)의 논지 제시 방식 - 비유(譬喩)와 직조(織造)의 수사(修辭) -

Abstract

<Gwanghanru-gi> This study investigated how commentators composed critical commentary sentences in order to suggest their own arguments, focusing on the fact that critical commentary sentence listed the stories that seemed, at a glance, to have no relation with the content or context of the work in a way of anecdote. The argument suggestion method can be divided into a case of suggesting an argument with metaphor or example related to the argument, a case of suggesting an argument through other topics or stories or suggesting the reason why suggesting such argument, and a case of suggesting an argument by composing many critical commentary sentences with a critical commentary sentence for one issue. <Gwanghanru-gi> The method used most in critical commentary sentences is the third one. This method is taking the following four weaving methods depending how those critical commentary sentences contribute to revealing the arguments of the commentator;First case is that, as two or three critical commentary sentences are listed in parallel structure, each critical commentary sentence reveals their own argument but there is little correlation among these arguments. Second case is that, as two or three critical commentary sentences are listed in parallel structure, each critical commentary sentence reveals their own argument and these arguments make relations each other to be merged into one large argument. Third case is that commentator suggests one argument. listing two critical commentary sentences on a same topic or subject in parallel. Fourth case is that commentator suggests one argument, listing two or three stories through the combination of two or three critical commentary sentences into one consistent critical commentary sentence. Through this discussion, it was noticeable that the critical commentary sentence of this work did not simply list funny stories or anecdotes but commands several composition methods in order to highlight the commentator's argument more effectively, and accordingly critical commentary sentences were weaved in various ways. In addition, such way of composition reconfirms that the critical commentary sentences of <Gwanghanru-gi> had its focus on interest rather than sincereness and had a strong tendency of light literature.
