한국의 록: 어느 세계적 경험

Abstract

I would like to talk in this paper about the rock music of South Korea. In its former part, I discuss it in the period of its acceptance and settlement into Korea, and in its latter part, its further offshoots as Korean independent rock groups began to immerge in the 1990s, The discussion reflects in overall not only an object viewpoint from a sort of cultural history, but also an my own personal views from my experiences as a performer and/or critic.The purpose of this paper is to clarify why and how the rock music which has nothing to do with our tradition and culture, had came to our life, react with us and finally internalized in us. The Korean rock music is one of our world experience.
