The purpose of this study is to expand the scope of cultural arts education and transform the individual's awareness of the value of art. Therefore, the Happy Village Orchestra located in Changwon, Gyeongnam was selected and observed, and interviewed using a qualitative research method. The artistic activities of local amateur orchestras have the possibility of ‘connection’ to communicate by connecting families, the smallest unit of society, into one space as a hobby of musical activities. Orchestra activities play a communal role, allowing local people to expand from individual music learning to holistic musical collaboration. The ‘joy’ arises from these activities a role in sustaining the community. In addition, local residents experience the experience of a performer, which has the effect of sharing patience, consideration, emotion, and empathy. Culture arts education using the form of an orchestra guides the local residents' music learning experience and contributes to creating artistic citizenship that understands art in their own way and expresses their an artistic way.
