백석 시의 에코페미니즘적 고찰

Abstract

Ecofeminism is a progressive theory that criticizes basically inequality and oppression occurring in most of relations including ruling and subordination, man and woman, human and nature and responds practically. This paper, study on Baek, Seok's Poetry through ecofeminism is written for clarifying the vitality of his poetry and checking desirable direction of consciousness that makes overcome the crisis of present days. The nature in Baek, Seok's Poetry is concrete and sensitive space of life. Moreover, like ecofeminism that lays stress on mutual understanding and cooperation between human beings as well as nature, his poetry shows actually the life of intimate blood families. Baek, Seok's Poetry is identical with ecofeminism in the aesthetic sense and method of expression. Like ecofeminism taking a serious view of the sense of body and spirituality that has been suppressed by reason centric thinking of modern ages, his poetry shows various sensitive images and the capability of feminine spirituality. The heart of a matter of Baek, Seok's Poetry is the spirit of benevolence and nonattachment. The poet shares the ruinous life of his ages, and speaks for serious pathos and emotion of pity. The attitude of nonattachment and spirit of benevolence inject his eminent moral decision. The poet Baek, Seok knew the fact that the colonial situation, the most serious matter of his age was due to the distinctive relations and found the recovery way of relations. His method is so peaceful and ideal that can not change the actual immediately; however it has the innovative alternative plan that is able to raise the basic change of consciousness.
