조선시대의 儒敎敎育 ­儒敎思想의 ‘知識敎育’과 ‘全人敎育’을 중심으로

Abstract

This thesis diagnoses the modern Korean society lacks of educational culture since there has not been exact understanding on the traditional education of Korea and study educational culture of Joseon that succeeding one axis of Koreanculture at large. First of all, I have analyzed the meaning and value of home education, the first step toward the 'education for the whole man' that traditional Confucianism intended by describing the teacher mind of Confucius and Mencius who can be stated as a head. A cradle of the 'education for the whole man' recognizing an importance of the home education in Joseon, however, went further. The government and officials reflected neo-Confucian teacher mind into the educational thought and system to hold the intellectual education and the education for the whole man in common and to be able to do their functions and roles as a social education. It is meaningful and valuable that as having supported Joseon dynasty for 500 years and left a lot of property that cannot be compared to Han, made Confucianism as a National Foundation ideology after Qinshihuang, this neo-Confucian teacher mind left a mission to construct the traditional educational culture independently to later scholars.
