자기소개서 쓰기와 대학생의 정체성 －교육적 함의(含意)를 중심으로－

The writing of self-introduction letter is linguistic performance when a college student want to become a member of new society. To explore and realize their own identity they choose to move into it, which ask a letter of self-introduction as one of a necessary document. However it had been neglected in curriculum of college writing instruction as a practical writing or business writing. This article aims to set it as an undeniable object in college writing, because it is written by college students through the campus life from a freshmen to a graduate-to-be as a new recruit. The writing of self-introduction is basically consists of constructing their personal experiences and re-constructing their own identity. The relationship between writing and identity could be described like below:1) Writing of self-introduction provides an essential course of exploring and realization of their own identity. 2) Writing itself is realization of their own identity. 3) Writing of self-introduction provides them a pleasure and motivation in writing for undergruadate. 4) In its final analysis, writing of self-introduction should be a central article for college writing curriculum. I focused in this paper the linguistic performance but social activity, because the originality of college writing should be found in writing education but sociological study.
