장애극복에 대한 의지를 고양시키기 위한 영화치료 사례 연구― 관계맺기와 소통하기를 중심으로 ―

본 연구는 장애인을 소재로 한 영화 <노트북(notebook)>⋅<날아라 허동구>⋅<말아톤>⋅<맨발의 기봉이>⋅<드래곤 길들이기> 등을 텍스트로 삼아, 관계맺기와 소통하기를 통해 장애극복에 대한 의지를 고양시키기 위한 영화치료를 실시한 결과이다. 그 접근은 세 방면에 걸쳐 이루어졌다. 첫째, 영화 텍스트 내적인 것으로 생태학적 관점에서 장애를 가진 주인공을 바라본 결과, 주인공이 주위환경과 원활한 관계맺기와 소통하기를 통해 장애를 극복하는 양상이 나타났다. 둘째, 영화속의 등장인물에 대해 보이는 반응을 정신분석적인 측면에서 바라본 결과, 참가자A는 감동적인 장면과 책임을 다하는 장면에서 강력한 공감을 일으켰는데, 가족과 돈독한 관계를 유지하기 위해 자신의 주장을 내세우기보다는 상대방의 의견에 따르고자 하는 욕구에서 비롯되었다. 참가자B는 주인공의 위축된 모습과 홀로서기 하는 장면에서 자기애적 전이를 일으켰는데, 통제가 심한 아버지로부터 벗어나고자 하는 강한 욕구에서 비롯되었다. 셋째, 영화치료의 효과를 검증해 본 결과, 참가자A는 장애에 대한 편견이 없어졌으며, 긍정적 마인드가 상승했다고 했다. 참가자B는 자신의 정신적 장애를 인정하는 데 도움이 되었으며, 장애극복에 대한 의지가 상승했다고 했다. 참가자들 모두 자존감 검사에서 자존감 지수가 많이 상승한 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 같이 장애극복에 대한 의지를 고양시키기 위한 본 영화치료가 목표로 했던 바가 충실히 달성되었다. 본고는 한 사례연구에 그치지만, 앞으로 본 영화치료 프로그램이 다양한 집단을 대상으로 실시되어 그 연구결과에 대한 상호비교가 이루어진다면 보편성을 획득하게 될 것이다.
Abstract
This study is to inquire into the effect of Cinema therapy for heightening a willingness to overcome disability by way of the relation-forming and the communication, by taking some movies with the disabilites such as Notebook, Bunt, Malaton, Barefoot Gi Bong, How To Train Your Dragon as a research material. This study is carried out in three particular ways. Firstly, the ecological approach on the main character with disability within the movies results in the aspect of overcoming disability by way of his forming moderate relation with his surroundings and communication. Secondly, the psychoanalytic viewpoint on the response to the characters in the movies results in the participant A's strong sympathy at a touching scene and a scene of fulfilling their responsibility, which is due to his desire that he is willing to follow others' opinion rather than suggest or assert his own opinion in order to maintain a close relationship his family members. The participant B brings about a self-loving transference at the scene of the main character's withdrawl and self-supportive effort, which is due to his desire that he is going to be away from his tight restrictive father. Thirdly, in view of Cinema therapy's effect, the participant A ceases to have a disablist attitude, and his positive mind is on the increase. It is helpful for the participants to accept his mental disability. And his willingness to overcome the disability is on the increase. Actually, it is found out that his self-esteem index in the self-esteem test rises a lot. From the results above, it is certain that this study's aim for heightening a willingness to overcome disability fully achieved. If further studies of this study's Cinema therapeutic program for various groups are carried out, and then comparative studies between the results or accomplishments of this study and further studies is carried out, this therapeutic program will acquire universality as a full-scaled therapeutic one with more comprehensive and detailed accomplishments.
