초록

This article reviewed the comprehensive health benefits of exposure to greenspaces for older people and the methodological of the included studies to guide future studies. This systematic review was conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. The review was conducted to identify full-text articles published from 2007 to 2017. Electronic databases (Scopus, Pubmed, MEDLINE, EBSCO(ASP)) were used to extract articles that evaluated the effects of greenspace and forests on older people. In the final sample, 27 articles were included in the systematic review. We concluded that greenspace was an effective intervention for health promotion such as physiological effect, psychological effect, improvement of quality of life, and expansion of social network for older people. However, it is necessary to improve the design and quality of the development and effectiveness of greenspace for the elderly people and methodological rigor. Future research should be conducted to develop a systematic program aimed at enhancing the health and welfare of the elderly people and on the causal relationship between various healing environments based on nature and the elderly people.
