본 논문에서는 구조요원의 위치추정을 위해 EKF(Extended Kalman Filter) 기반 SLAM(Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) 기법을 이용하였다.

Abstract

In the event of a fire, the deaths of emergency responder are frequent. Accurate positioning of the emergency responder is necessary to prevent such accidents. Large buildings with a high risk of the emergency responder generally have a structure in which rooms are placed on one or both sides of a long straight corridor. Therefore, most emergency responder will travel through narrow corridors. These narrow corridors have large spatial constraints in receiving UWB signals. The UWB transceiver should be installed in consideration of these spatial constraints. In this paper, we propose an emergency responder tracking method using UWB transceiver. The proposed method was verified by experimenting with two scenarios. The first scenario is when all the UWB signals installed in a large space can be received. The second scenario is where only a line of sight (LOS) signal can be received in a narrow corridor turning 90 degrees. In this paper, the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF)-based Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technique was used for the emergency responder tracking. As a result of the experiment, we confirmed that the location of the emergency responder can be tracked using the proposed method.
