Abstract
This paper is offered in the rationale that it makes the examination of the idiomatic phrase more interesting within the comparative view. The main text contains several languages as the object of semantic and syntactic analysis, such as Chinese, English, Turkish and Japanese. Regarding idiomatic expressions, in Korean Language, it builds up the logic on the evidence of foreign languages with the paradigm of idiomatic expressions. Basically it will be classified with three types, the idiomatic Fused form, the idiomatic Compound, and the idiomatic Proverb. In this paper, it is consists of four chapters, which is the first refers to its definition, the second is about the paradigm and syntactic, semantic constraints as the third chapter. It is analyzed out the data with the semantic features, such as figuration, prediction, transparency, affection. On the other hand, the syntactic constraint will be examined with a word order, modified form, ellipsis, negative and honorific form. Finally it is summarized on the Diagrams of IE limitation, which is the figure of the restriction in Semantic and syntactic conditions. Besides, it is added the comparison of the IE Proverb with 5 languages in the fourth chapter. It totally compares with graphical representations in semantic and syntactic conditions together. IE shows us that the substantive of the idiomatic Fused form has different features with thedeclinable of it to the syntactic constraint, even though they are in same category. The former presents restrictive features with semantic paradigm but relatively free in syntacticconjugation. According to the comparative table in a chart, it can be seen the IF takes a severe complexion on limitations and IC gets a nonrestraint aspect among the idiomatic expressions.
